Greetings UCD Men’s Rugby supporters,
My name is Francis Schumann and I will be captaining this years A side team along with Vice Captain, Jack Hansen. Since my first year joining the team in 2020, I have seen a tremendous amount of growth within the club, especially overcoming the difficulties caused by COVID. During my captaincy I would like to encourage an overall improvement in each individual player’s skill set and ensure a positive and competitive attitude on and off the field. I believe that with my leadership capabilities along with an immensely experienced coaching staff, this club can unlock its untapped potential. I would also like to see an improvement in the organization of this club and develop a well respected image across campus. With the support of family, alumni, fellow students, and the hard work of current members, we as a team have the capabilities to be at the top of our league. Thank you all for your continuous support and I hope to see many of you on the sidelines this upcoming season.
